Learning, responsibility & generosity

Community Mentorship Program

Supervised gardening with encouragement for school progress. Children learn to plant, care for crops, and share produce with elderly neighbours.

How to contribute: Volunteer as a garden mentor, provide seeds, soil or tools, or help supply learning materials and harvest baskets.

Fresh food for our elders

Elderly Food Basket

Food baskets or bags for registered neighbours aged 55 or older who have an illness and live in the surrounding area. Proof of age and illness is checked privately by the owner. Register in the Elderly Food Basket panel below.

How to contribute: Contribute fresh produce, help assemble baskets, or volunteer with distribution and transport.

Shared meals, stronger community

Children's Community Meals

Monthly community meals for children, supported by available produce, volunteers and donated supplies. Dates will be confirmed.

How to contribute: Provide ingredients, support meal preparation, or volunteer with serving and cleanup. Businesses may sponsor a meal.

Program dates and quantities depend on harvests and resources. Children's activities are supervised.

Seed sharing · Grow something togetherShare spare seeds, discover locally suited varieties, and pass on practical growing knowledge.

A few seeds can become food for a family and a new connection between neighbours. We welcome gardeners interested in sharing spare vegetable, herb, and fruit seeds, seedlings, and the lessons learned from growing them.

  • Label seeds with the plant name, variety if known, and the collection or packing date.
  • Keep seeds dry in clean packets; share healthy seedlings and explain their growing needs.
  • Tell us what you can offer or hope to grow. Small contributions and first-time growers are welcome.

Contact the farm before bringing seeds or arranging an exchange. Availability and meet-ups will be confirmed individually; there is no fixed schedule yet.
